Barcelona has an expensive reputation it does not entirely deserve. The single best view in the city is free, the parks are free, and the markets cost whatever you decide to spend. What costs money here is the ticketed Gaudí interior — and this plan simply routes around it.
The day climbs first and descends after: the hill viewpoint early, the free half of Park Güell, then down into the markets and parks where lunch happens. Doing it in reverse means climbing in afternoon heat, which is the one thing that will ruin it.

Is Park Güell really free?
Part of it. The Monumental Zone — the mosaic terrace and the famous bench — is ticketed and needs booking ahead. The surrounding parkland is free and open, and it is where most of the good walking is anyway.
How do I get to Bunkers del Carmel?
Bus is the sane option — the metro leaves you with a long uphill walk through residential Carmel. It is free, open, and has no facilities at all, so bring water and take your rubbish with you.
Can I really do this for under €30?
Yes, if the money goes on food rather than tickets. Market lunch and a couple of vermouths land comfortably inside €30 per person. Adding one ticketed Gaudí interior roughly doubles the day.
